It’s unfortunate that Pace failed to mention that there are a slew of other things that are immoral like lying, which I’m sure he’s done. Or coveting a neighbor’s wife, which may very well have happened. We don’t know; that “coveting” happens in his head and who knows what’s going on up there. The point is you can’t just pick out one thing because it suits your argument. If you’re going to play fair, let’s include the whole lot. Now, that’s assuming that homosexuality is even immoral, which it’s not.
I tend to think that what Pace meant to say is that it’s “gross.” Much the way I think “beaver” is gross and so closely resembles sliced pot roast. And that’s fine, he has a right to an opinion. The question is: so what? So you think it’s wrong … big deal. You want a medal? You gotta make a law of it to convince me you’re right and I’m wrong?
People can think what they want; again, Pace has a right to an opinion, but what he and the rest of us don’t have a right to do is infringe on someone’s basic human rights … the pursuit of life, liberty and justice.
If Pace think’s homosexuality is so immoral, then he shouldn’t be a homosexual.
