Madonna book deal dunzo

I was actually looking foward to reading the Nanny Dumas book about life with Madonna ... knowing what goes on inside that head and household. Just last night, my boyfriend and I were talking about how all this time no one has ever written a tell-all or sought to expose Madonna ... no disgruntled employees et cetera.

As if to confirm it, you can imagine my surprise to find an article this morning praising Madonna for her managerial style and ability to keep everyone in line (however much money or legal shushing is involved). You can also imagine how disappointed I was to also read that the proposed Melissa Dumas book was cancelled.
According to Britain's The Mirror, "Madonna, predictably enough, has risen from the lotus position to turn the full force of her legal team against rogue nanny Melissa Dumas in an attempt to silence her." (The Book Standard)
The more I think about it though, cancelling the book is probably the best thing all the way around. It protects Madonna and her family but also keeps the mystery surrounding her intact. (Tabloids give us enough as it is.)

And as much as I'd like to know, I wouldn't want her to disappear from the pedestal I've put her on. Knowing too much would just ruin it.
