It amazes me how - driving through a neighborhood with an average price tag of $650K - I can turn a corner and end up in a Section Eight housing district. That they can exist literally on top of each other is beyond me. I can understand turning a blind eye to the state of disrepair and illegal dumping in those areas by simply avoiding them. What I can’t understand is how “the well-to-do” ignore the blatant lack of respect from neighboring ghettos in the volume of noise pollution they provide. How to enjoy a beautiful spring day in your garden with “thump-thump” pouring through the streets, over fences and into your backyard?
How could Section Eight not possibly think that it’s bothersome to others?
