RIP
Friend’s Gran died yesterday so I cooked a big dinner of comfort food and picked up some beer and a movie. Training taking a back seat right now to lots going on personally. But alas I stay in the mindset that I am an athlete (at least recreationally) and simply enjoying my time away from the gym. No stress no worries. Muscle remembers.

Distractions
Went to see Kings of Leon at Tabernacle last night. Definitely took my mind off any issues I’m having with my arm. I’m on a Mon-Wed-Fri schedule but reading up on injury and metal state, I’ll probably take the day off today. Feeling good though.

Rationalizing the Pain
My right shoulder is bothering me. It has been for a while but I’ve been working through it. My only concern now is that it seems to have morphed and is affecting me now much more so than ever before. The pain I had been feeling started in the front deltoid and was relieved actually by rotating my arm up and backward. It felt good to stretch it that way. I wasn’t concerned that my arm cracked upon overhead movements. It always had and I had been told it was either calcium buildup or connective tissue "crunching". My ability to move freely was not affected but admittedly it was uncomfortable to freestyle laps in the pool. Nevertheless I wasn’t concerned but started to become so at the onset of a dull ache in the front delt.
The discomfort now is more in the armpit and runs down the inside of the bicep. I am under the impression this is an inflammation to the brachial plexus. Perhaps as a result of overworking the shoulder, chest or bicep. I am not sure a this point. It’s definitely frustrating and if not rested and remedied shortly I may be visiting a doctor to check me out.
Meantime I’m going to stick with other movements not directly involved with my right shoulder/arm. I hate it.
